Design begins from the ground up — literally. Flooring sets the stage for every other design choice in your home. Whether you’re drawn to rustic cabin charm, modern minimalism, or cozy traditional interiors, your floors shape how everything else comes together.
At NW Floor Coverings, we help homeowners across Lynnwood and the surrounding region build their design vision starting with the surface they walk on every day.
Start with Mood
Do you want your home to feel airy and light? Start with pale wood flooring. Want to create a cocoon-like retreat? Rich-toned carpet brings that cozy energy. Your flooring's color and texture influence paint choices, furniture finishes, and lighting.
Create Connection Room by Room
Flooring continuity helps create a sense of flow — especially in open floor plans. Using the same wood throughout high-traffic zones, then breaking it up with bedroom carpet or tile in the bath, makes your layout feel intentional.
Add Drama with Contrast
Use high-contrast flooring to create focal points. Dark floors with light walls make rooms feel taller. Soft cream carpet with bold rugs makes a bedroom feel layered and rich. Mix and match with purpose — and we’ll help you get it just right.
Texture Tells a Story
A smooth white oak floor tells a very different story than a knotted hickory. Carpet, too, has personality — from tight weaves that feel tailored, to plush piles that beg you to kick your shoes off. Use texture to complement your home’s architectural style.
Durability Meets Design
The right flooring should meet your lifestyle. That’s why we help you pair design preferences with functional materials — like scratch-resistant finishes for pets, moisture-friendly solutions for entryways, and carpets made for high-traffic staircases.
Customize with Bound Rugs or Carpet Inserts
Want hardwood but love the feel of carpet in certain spots? Custom rug solutions or inset carpet borders offer a tailored look with added softness, especially in dining rooms, dens, or large living areas.
Elevate Every Finish
Once your flooring is in place, the rest of the home follows. From cabinetry tones to drapery textures and furniture finishes — a great floor makes every detail shine.
At NW Floor Coverings, we don’t just install floors — we help create homes that reflect how you want to live. Come visit us in Lynnwood and discover how wood and carpet can shape the spaces where your stories unfold.
